Cactus is built the way a horse should be, with plenty of foot and bone, correct balanced conformation, and a beautiful, smooth way of going. He is a naturally athletic gelding with a great presence and the kind of quality that catches your eye wherever he is. Throughout his time in our program, Cactus has been a pleasure to have and has been exposed to everything we believe a great horse should experience. We have hauled him to ranch horse shows, horse parks, trail rides, roped the dummy, and used him through all phases of ranch work. Cactus is extremely confident outside of the arena and in new environments. Whether he is riding down the trail, stepping into a new arena, or experiencing something different, he stays calm, focused, and takes everything in stride. Cactus is extremely gentle, friendly, and easy to handle. He has the kind of disposition that allows him to fit into a family setting while still having the ability and talent to excel as a performance horse. He is safe, thoughtful, and has a practical way of approaching every situation. Cactus does not get rattled he stays calm, thinks through things, and gives his rider confidence. Under saddle, Cactus is a true pleasure. He rides around in the bridle with tons of feel and responsiveness. He has smooth transitions, lead changes, and lead departures, along with a nice spin, rollback, and a big automatic stop. He two-tracks, side passes, counter canters, and has excellent supple lateral movement. He has the ability to elevate his rider’s horsemanship while still being enjoyable and forgiving to ride. Cactus is also very cowy, and his pedigree is a testament to his natural ability. He carries bloodlines that trace back to some of the greatest cow horses, including High Brow Cat, Smart Little Lena, Oh Cay Quixote, and Miss N Cash. This is a truly special gelding that we absolutely adore. Cactus is solid in every aspect—from his training and ability to his exceptional mind and disposition. He is the type of horse that any horseman can appreciate and any horse lover would be proud to have in their barn. All horses are sold as-is. By purchasing a horse, the buyer agrees to sign our bill of sale acknowledging the purchase and the terms of the sale. Our videos are an honest representation of each horse, and no horses are drugged or sedated for the purpose of filming. We encourage all prospective buyers to ask questions and perform their own due diligence before purchasing. Once purchased, the horse becomes the responsibility of the buyer.
