Meet Nike, the farthest thing you could find from a one trick pony. She is a registered 9 year old mare standing at 14.3hh. Nike is solid jet black and stays that way all year round without fading, with a beautiful mane and tail. She is confident, willing to work, and always up for anything – which makes her SO MUCH FUN! She’s an absolute sweetheart to be around and is everybody’s favorite to love on. Nike rides Western, English, bridle-less, in a halter, with a saddle and without. She is experienced out on the trails, in the arena, and all types of environments. Nike team sorts cattle, ropes, tracks the dummy, has worked a cutting flag, carries a flag, and has been used for various jobs around the farm (working gates, dragging logs and sleds, moving cattle, checking pastures, etc.). She’s been used for many professional photoshoots and is my most trusted model – especially when it comes to trying something new or taking care of younger kids! Nike has given many beginner riding lessons both Western and English – she also knows beginner to advanced groundwork exercises. She steps over to the mounting block on command and drops her head to be bridled. Nike is started jumping over fences and shows a lot of potential. She is a straightforward ride and really enjoys jumping! Nike works very well into contact but also rides around on a draped rein. She is the cutest mover both English & Western, with very comfortable gait transitions. Nike will collect up, jog, long trot, always pick up her leads, one hand neck rein, turn around, rollback, side-pass, back with her nose to the ground, and stop big off your seat – she responds well to leg aids and is very light in the mouth. Nike is forgiving enough for the beginner rider and fancy enough for the experienced rider. She is not easily spooked or frustrated and crosses any type of natural or manmade obstacles. Nike loves to ride out alone, but also enjoys riding with a group. Her intelligence and willing personality makes her extremely trainable and she always puts 100% effort in to whatever you ask of her – she’s never done learning! Whether you want to show English or Western, jump, trail ride, or have a handy hardworking ranch mount that will go all day long – Nike is your girl and she’ll be the first to get you noticed anywhere you take her! Her manners are first class all the way around, from the ground to the pasture. Nike gets along with all types of horses, donkeys, mules, and even the smallest ponies. You do not have to worry about turning her out with all types of personalities, genders, and sizes! She is NOT mare-ish at all (you’ll seriously think she’s a gelding!). She’s well acclimated to small kids, unmannered dogs, pesky cats, large farm machinery, busy traffic, loud equipment, drones, tarps, balls, bull whips, and more. Nike has been taught and handled correctly her whole life, which shows true in her training. She has no bad habits and is the easiest horse to be around no matter the situation. Nike loads herself, backs out of the trailer, stands for the farrier, picks up and holds her feet, clips, bathes, and stands tied alone or next to others for long periods without issue. She has great feet and has been barefoot her entire life. Nike is up to date on trimming, worming, vaccinations, Coggins, and comes with a Pre-Purchase Exam already complete with a health certificate to travel. This sweet girl is one of a kind and deserves the absolute best home. She will give her heart to somebody and we expect the same of her new person in return!
